Water Crisis in Bihar Jharkhand Assam West Bengal Uttar Pradesh, Utrakhand Haryana NCT of Delhi
In Dec. 2017, our Team, led by DR SARFARAZ NAWAZ and Volunteer visited the Bihar Jharkhand Assam W.B U.P. Utrakhand Haryana people, who are currently struggling for water supplies as the water around them is very salty with no steams located nearby. They have a small area built from bricks by the village people
When our team Visit the different State such as Bihar Jharkhand Assam W.B U.P. Utrakhand Haryana the desperation of the village for fresh drinking water became immediately apparent. Wells could not be dug since the water underneath the ground was salty.
The team spoke to the local people about how they obtain water sources once the supplies are dry and they explained that they carried containers from another there was a tap close to the village
The proposal is to build a large purpose water reservoir to serve the village which includes a Masjid and madrasah. Over Thousands of students will also benefit from this water project. The village people have a designated an area of land they would like to use for the project.
This is a unique project and one that promises to wield tremendous rewards. It is reported Sa’d ibn ‘Ubada (radi allahu anhu) said:
Messenger of Allah! Umm Sa`d my mother died, what is the best charity (on her behalf)?” The Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasalam) replied: “Water.” So Sa’d dug a well and said: “This is for Umm Sa’d.”
