Skill Training Program

Many people are stuck in a poverty trap because they do not have the resources to develop their skills and work their way out of destitution. Income generation unities empower impoverished people to learn new skills, achieve self-sufficiency and improve their livelihoods

With the changing economic scenario and global competitiveness there is a yawning mismatch between the skilled manpower required and skilled manpower available. Every year we churn out millions of graduates who do not have the specific skill sets required by the market. The most pressing need of the hour is to create a pool of quailed and knowledgeable skills to narrow the gap between demand and supply of skilled manpower. Vocational training will not only create equilibrium of demand and supply but will also help a number of unemployed youth find work and live a decent life.

In backdrop of this, jsksorg 2025 program has came up with a plan to establish

Five Cooperatives for Modernization of Traditional Occupations

Five Vocational Skills Development Centres

Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Courses for Women

Embroidery Training Programme

The Jan Samaj Kalyan Samiti is also coordinating with Embroidery & Tailoring Training Centre’, for girls, established at Bihar in 2010 in the form of guidance and advises in running the training centre successfully. The main objective of this Centre is to provide training to the girls from the underprivileged section of the society and make them self reliant.

Women Empowerment

Swabhiman

Various studies, as well as our experience, have shown that when we work towards women empowerment, the whole society benefits. But unfortunately in India, far from being empowered, most women are denied even their basic rights like health, education, employment and a respectable status in society.

According to a recent UNDP Human Development Report, India has a dangerously imbalanced sex ratio, the chief reason being rampant female infanticide and sex-selective abortions.

Swabhiman, meaning self-respect in English, was initiated in 2005 to address these challenges through a simple yet effective approach. The programme is specifically aimed at realization of both individual and collective self-esteem and inner strength for marginalized and socially excluded women and adolescent girls through innovative community practices.

A tailor-made strategy called the ‘4 S Model’ has been developed under Swabhiman for women empowerment. The ‘4 S Model’ is an acronym for four novel approaches, namely Seeking Healthcare as a Behaviors, Support for Education, Supporters through Male Involvement, and Sustaining the Change in Communities.

The programme identifies adolescent girls and women from the community and develops them into Change Agents, who in turn actively contribute to the community mobilization process.

So far, Swabhiman has successfully made a difference to the lives of over 500,000 women and girl children.

The main goal of program is to enhance this capacities and capabilities of women, to develop and implement programmes aimed at improving the standards of living of their communities through sustainable use of the environment and the available resources.

With two-thirds of the world’s illiterate population female and countless girl children not receiving a basic education, supporting women in developing countries is vital to helping overcome critical social issues such as poverty and unemployment.

By supporting women in society and giving them access to opportunities such as an education, jobs and health care, everyone benefits. Infant mortality rates go down, more children stay in school, incomes increase and the cycle of poverty can be broken.

In India, women are born into a society that still has to face social inequalities. Through our initiatives, we aim to assist in gender empowerment through various educational, healthcare and income initiatives and empower local women by educating them on their rights the opportunities available to them.

The main goal of program is to enhance this capacities and capabilities of women, to develop and implement programmes aimed at improving the standards of living of their communities through sustainable use of the environment and the available resources.

As a useful assistance to marginalized people especially women section, the Organization encourage them to gain the income generation skills and knowledge by providing training like tailoring, computer short term courses, embroidery etc. that will allow them to overcome obstacles in life or work.

Our Orphan Care programme is dedicated to providing quality assistance for orphans regardless of their religion, creed or gender. It also strives to ensure orphans receive the basic necessities of life - providing them with food, clean water, regular medical check-ups and education.

Orphaned children are among the most vulnerable in society. They are often left in the care of elderly relatives who do not have the ability to support them and often consequently receive no education and are driven into work at a very early age missing out on a real childhood and education. This obviously affects them for the rest of their lives and they are not able to develop into respectable members of society.

Our Orphan Care Programme is designed to address the needs of the orphans and improve their lives in a way that respects and preserves the customs and traditions of the communities in which they reside.
